How can you tell what 'gender' Old English nouns are?

My homework ignment is asking about the grammatical gender of a list of Old English nouns, but I'm having a hard time figuring out how to answer the question. I've looked in the textbook and at the online powerpoints, but I'm still struggling. Does anyone know how to figure out what gender a noun is? They're not phrases. There's no determiner. It's just single nouns. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
