More Code Veronica Help?

Ok this question is more from a friend but i dunno the answer to it so that's why I'm here. When you get the blue indigo plate my friend placed it into the prison compound one, not the one were their are to guard dogs( the one were u place it and you can get the indigo card). Does he have to restart his game or is their a way around that. I've looked at a lot of walkthroughs and they don't really touch on that question. Thanks guys!
